Welcome to the Sugar B's
Welcome to the website of one of the livliest R'n'B Bands currently playing around the North East. The Sugar B's are a hard drivin up tempo R 'n' B Band playing material from the 50's, 60's and even earlier.
The Bands material includes numbers by Canned Heat, The Rolling Stones, Doobie Bros, Chuck Berry, The Kinks, The Doors, Dr Feelgood, Cream, The Animals, The Beatles, and even some Bob Dylan.
ALL SONGS PERFORMED IN THE INIMITABLE, OFTEN IMITATED, BUT NEVER OUTCLASSED STYLE OF THE SUGAR B'S
The site has had an extensive overhaul and we have added an audio player which will be updated regularly. We have news items so that we can keep you up to date with what we are doing and, as available, there will be some free downloads for you too.
Well - that's it. Johnny Robbo has left the B's - The Merlin was the stage for this historic moment.
The Sugar B's however are still alive and kicking (we are in rehearsal ready for our new format on 4th February) and will be gigging with our NEW Frontman JONNY WRIGHT (see his biog).
Jonny will lead the B's into a new era. Watch this space for details.
